I was denied access to late MKO Abiola - Al-Mustapha

The chief security officer to the late military head of
state, Sani Abacha, Hamza Al-Mustapha speaking on
the death of M.K.O Abiola, acclaimed winner of the
June 12, 1993 election called human rights lawyer,
Femi Falana, a liar.

According to Naija news

NAIJ.com gathered that Al-Mustaphah during a
programme People, Politics and Power on AIT
said leaders of NADECO went to the Presidential
Villa, Abuja to collect millions of dollars, barely
24 hours after Abiola’s death.
He said: “If Abiola was alive, he would have been
one of my witnesses which I know won’t have
happened, we should be looking at the larger
issues. The questions is why should Abiola be
killed and why should they be angry that I’m

asking these questions?
Al-Mustapha alleged that the late MKO Abiola
was killed on July 8, 1998 at Aguda house and
that money withdrawn from the Central Bank of
Nigeria on July 9 in Dollars, Pounds and Naira
was shared delibartely, adding that the money
was delivered straight to the villa.

In 2017, the human rights lawyer called Al-
Mustapha a “pathological liar” for claiming that
he had tapes of how the presumed winner of the
June 12, 1993 presidential election, was
murdered.
Falana said the former CSO was trying to act as
if he was nice to Abiola even when he made sure
the latter was kept in detention.
Falana added that Al-Mustapha was feeling
guilty conscience over the death of the wife of
Abiola, Kudirat following the confessions of
Sergeant Jabila Rogers at the Oputa Panel that he
was ordered by Al-Mustapha to kill her.

Since the superstar was accused of tax fraud by
the Spanish authority, Ronaldo has been seeking
an agreement with all the bodies concerned.
Last year after the accusation, Ronaldo was said
to have offered around £12.9m, but was rejected
by the government.
And according to the latest report by UK Sun,

The lawyer representing Chukwudumeme
Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans) has
withdrawn his representation from all criminal
charges against his client.

Premium Times reports that Olukoya Ogungbeje
said his decision to withdraw as counsel to
Evans were “for personal reasons.”
He said: “For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state
categorically that we have fought a good fight this far
despite repeated and sustained threats to my life and my

defence
lawyers.

I dare say we have no regrets whatsoever having
conducted the criminal
far.”
adthisdegokthisdegothisdegthisdethisdthis had reported that a
member of the Inspector General of Police
Intelligence Response Team, Insp. Idowu Haruna,
narrated at an Ikeja high court how
Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, used
a soldier as a decoy in his high profile criminal
activities in Lagos.

We pray you will continue to tolerate us as your children - NASS to Buhari

Nigeria's National Assembly has pledged their loyalty
to President Muhammadu Buhari
- The National Assembly says it would keep supporting
the vision of the Buhari administration for a greater
Nigeria
- Going further, the National Assembly claimed that no
administration since 1999 has received more
cooperation from the legislature like President Buhari

The National Assembly on Friday pledged its
loyalty and commitment to President
Muhammadu Buhari and prayed that God would
bless him with additional tolerance for him to
continue to tolerate its members as his children.
The Senate President Bukola Saraki made the
pledge when representatives of residents of the
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) paid Sallah
homage to the President at his official residence
in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Saraki, who was represented by deputy senate
leader, Sen. Bala ibn Na’allah, said the National
Assembly would keep supporting the vision of
the Buhari administration for a greater Nigeria.
According to him, no administration since 1999
has received more cooperation from the
legislature like President Buhari.
“Mr president, I have the authority of each and every
member of the Senate and the House of representatives to
wish you a blessed Eid-el-Fitr in 2018 which we are
celebrating today
“And I have the authority of each and every one of us to
equally pledge our loyalty and commitment to work with
you for the betterment of this country and to wish you more
strength; to wish you more health and most importantly Mr
president to add additional degree of tolerance for you so
that you tolerate us as your children.
“Mr president let me seize this opportunity to say, for the
record, that from 1999, when we started our democratic
experience, to date no president and I repeat, `no president
and I say for the third term `no president has received the
amount of cooperation from the National Assembly like
you contrary to what is outside there,’’ he said.
The senator also thanked the president, on
behalf of the National Assembly, over his
decision to revisit and address the unresolved
issue of June 12, 1993 presidential election,
which was presumably won by late MKO Abiola.
President Buhari had on June 6 in a statement
declared that henceforth, June 12, be observed as
Democracy Day in Nigeria and that some heroes
of democracy be given national honours.
The president fulfilled this promise on Tuesday
when he conferred on late MKO Abiola the Grand
Commander of the Federal Republic
(Posthumous), Alhaji Baba Gana Kingibe and late
Gani Fawehinmi were also conferred with Grand
Commander of the Order of the Niger.
“May I on behalf of the Senate and the House of
Representatives again thank you for that bold steps you
have taken in addressing the unresolved issue of the June
12.
”You might have underestimated the effects of that singular
act. But I will tell you sir, you have achieved more than 75
per cent of what South Africa did with the Truth and
Reconciliation Committee with this singular act.
”You may not understand sir, but I’m sure in near future
you will understand the value of that singular act.
“Along that line, may I on behalf of the National Assembly
implore our religious leaders to begin to think along the line
of uniting this country.
“God has brought together, we do not have any alternative,
as far as we are concern we should continue to live as
brothers and sisters,’’ he said.
Responding, President Buhari called on all
Nigerians to work towards salvaging the nation
from the shackles of past wrongs by sharing in
the collective vision for a greater Nigeria and

contributing individually to realise the goal.

Zamfara state governor has dropped his
responsibility as chief security officer of the state
- He said this was as a result of his inability to control
security machinery in his state
- The governor lamented that it was disheartening that
killings in the state had continued in spite of the
President Muhammadu Buhari’s order

Governor Abdul’aziz Yari of Zamfara state said
he had dropped his responsibility as chief
security officer of the state as he had no control
over security machinery in the state.
Speaking to newsmen in Talata-Mafara on
Friday, June 15, Yari said that his decision
stemmed from the seeming helplessness of the
state government and the people over recurring

killings in the state
He deplored the prevailing situation where as the
chief security officer of the state, he could not
take decisions on strategies for protecting the
state and its people, and had it implemented.
“We have been facing serious security challenges over the
years, but in spite of being governor and chief security
officer of the state, I cannot direct security officers on what
to do nor sanction them when they err.
“As chief security officer, the nomenclature in just a name,”
he said.
The governor lamented that it was disheartening
that killings in the state had continued in spite of
the President Muhammadu Buhari’s order to
security agencies to end the incessant blood-
letting across the country.
According to him, since the president’s order, the
killings have not stopped. In a week there were
attacks in this state which claimed over 30 lives.
He said that the state government was spending
huge amount of its resources on security but to
no avail.
Yari, therefore, urged people of the state to be
more faithful to God and embark on special
prayers over the challenges facing the state.
He also appealed to them to be patient and
continue to cooperate with the government and
security agencies as steps were being taken to
address the challenges.
“We cannot keep quiet while our people are being killed
daily. We are going to cooperate with all stakeholders to
bring the situation to an end,” he added.

Israeli Foreign Ministry said to send out very skeptical paper on Trump-Kim meet

Document reportedly distributed to diplomatic
missions and PMO warns of 'significant'
concessions made by US president, says 'many' in
Japan, South Korea, US Congress are doubtful

A classified document written and distributed by
the Israeli Foreign Ministry after the historic
summit between US President Donald Trump and
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore
reportedly raises skepticism about the result of
the talks and concern over several concessions
made by the US president.
“Regardless of the smiles in the summit, many in
Japan, South Korea and the US Congress doubt
that North Korea is sincere in its intentions,” the
document said, Channel 10 reported Thursday.
Despite Israeli officials, including Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu, praising the summit as an
“important step” in denuclearizing North Korea,
the reported document said there were
“significant gaps” between the United States’
tough stances before the meeting and parts of the
agreement signed Tuesday by Trump and Kim.
The document was said to have been sent
Wednesday to Israeli diplomatic missions around
the world, as well as to senior Foreign Ministry
officials and the Prime Minister’s Office.
“Our assessment is that regardless of President
Trump’s statements about quick changes that are
expected in North Korean policy, the road to real
and substantive change, if it ever happens, will
be long and slow,” the ministry’s researchers
wrote, according to Axios .
“There are significant gaps between the
American declarations before the summit
regarding the need for a ‘complete, verifiable and
irreversible denuclearization,’ and the joint
statement’s language which only included a
‘complete denuclearization’ of North Korea,” the
document continued.
Another Trump concession pointed out in the
reported document was his commitment to halt
joint military drills with South Korea, in
exchange for China stopping joint exercises with
North Korea — an arrangement said to have
been opposed by the US before the summit.
Netanyahu on Tuesday hailed
the summit, linking it to the
US leader’s “tough stance” on
Iran.
“I congratulate US President
Donald Trump for the historic
summit in Singapore,”
Netanyahu said in a
statement. “It is an important
step in the effort to
denuclearize the Korean
Peninsula.”
“President Trump also takes a
tough stance against Iran’s
attempt to arm itself with
nuclear weapons, as well as
against its aggression in the
Middle East. This is leaving its
mark on the Iranian
economy,” he continued,
referring to Trump’s
withdrawal from the
landmark 2015 pact last
month.
“Trump’s policy is an important development for
Israel, the region and the entire world,”
Netanyahu added.
Trump and Kim held the unprecedented meeting
in Singapore, after which they signed a joint
document praised by both leaders.
The summit — unthinkable only months ago —
comes after the two nuclear-armed foes appeared
on the verge of conflict late last year as their
leaders slung personal insults at each other and

North Korea conducted nuclear and missile tests.
