Supreme Court Declares Ahmed Makarfi As Authentic Chairman of PDP

Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour who read the judgment on Wednesday on behalf of the five-man panel of judges set aside the ruling of the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt that affirmed Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the Chairman of the party.

The Supreme Court held that the decision of the National Convention of the party held on May 21, 2016 in Port Harcourt was right to have removed Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the Chairman of the party being the highest decision-making organ of the party.

The court ruled that Senator Sheriff was wrong to have called for the suspension of the convention having submitted himself as an aspirant to contest for the National Chairman of the party.

The court held further that Sheriff decision to suspend the National Convention was predicated on his disqualification by the screening committee set up to screen all the aspirants seeking the chairmanship of the party.

The judgment has put to rest the protracted leadership tussle rocking the party since the former chairman  Adamu Muazu left the party in an abrupt manner when pressure was mounted on him by the stakeholders of the party after losing the 2015 Presidential election.

Meanwhile, there was wild jubilation at the court by PDP leaders and supporters of the Makarfi led faction who were present in court.
PDP faithful present in court includes governors Nyesome Wike of Rivers and Ayo Fayose of Ekiti as well as former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau.

Other PDP bigwigs include Ahmed Markafi, Senator Ben Obi, Bode George, Dayo Adeyeye, Jerry Gana, and a  former deputy speaker House of Representatives.

However, Sheriff was absent during the judgment.

Power of GOD Worshipers throng Lagos church over image of “Jesus Christ” on wall

The convention ground of Holy Ghost Fire Apostolic Church, Ogunse Estate, Sagamu Road, Ikorodu, Lagos, turned into a Mecca of sort yesterday, as Christian worshipers thronged the church to see the image of "Jesus Christ" that reportedly appeared on the church's wall.

An artisan working on the site, raised alarm that he had seen Jesus Christ appear on the wall. Members of the church who were within the premises went on their knees to worship the image and also reached out to their loved ones and friends to come and pray over the image.

Some of the worshipers came with bottled water and sachet water to touch the wall as they offered prayers to God loudly. A member of the church said the image was a move by God to draw people closer to him and depopulate the kingdom of darkness.

My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent." Donald Trump praises his son and Americans react

President Trump is defending his son after explosive emails were released showing he corresponded with and met a Russian lawyer to get information on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.

After a Fox News interview held last night where Donald Trump Jr admitted to meeting Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, President Trump took to Twitter this morning to tweet his support for his son.

He wrote: "My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent. This is the greatest Witch Hunt in political history. Sad!"

Soon after, he followed up with another tweet, writing: "Remember, when you hear the word ‘sources say’ from the Fake Media, often times those sources are made up and do not exist."

Reactions immediately followed President Trump's tweet, a number of them disagreeing with him. Some felt Fox host Sean Hannity, who is a staunch supporter of Trump, was sympathetic to Donald Jr, thereby refusing to ask the questions that mattered.

"He was neither open, nor transparent! His remarks were obviously scripted and total denials! You're like the boy who cried "WITCH HUNT!"" Jules Suzdaltsev‏ tweeted.

"He turned “open” & “transparent” when it became clear that @nytimes was about to publish the whole story with emails, after a year of work," Anirvan Ghosh tweeted.

The tweet follows Donald Trump Jr's Tuesday night interview on Fox News where he admitted to meeting the Russian lawyer but claimed his father knew absolutely nothing about it. Before the interview aired. Donald Trump took to Twitter to advertise it. Eric Trump also tweeted support for his family saying they are always attacked because they are close and support each other.

Eric Trump wrote: "This is the EXACT reason they viciously attack our family! They can't stand that we are extremely close and will ALWAYS support each other."

Meanwhile, in a statement read out by White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday after Donald Jr released the emails on Twitter, President Trump praised his first son and applauded him for his "transparency".

Trump said: “My son is a high-quality person, and I applaud his transparency.”

In reaction to the email exchange between Donald Jr and the Russian lawyer's PR exec, Democrats called the emails "explosive". ABC reports that a number of Democrats also claimed that the messages prove there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia as part of attempts by Moscow to meddle in the 2016 presidential election - something the White House has repeatedly denied.

President Trump's behavior is "insulting to Americans”, he needs to be put in a home' - David Letterman

Former late night host, David Letterman is tired of all the talk about President Trump's incompetence and wants to see some action. In an interview with the Associated Press published this week, Letterman said,
'I know there's trouble in this country and we need a guy who can fix that trouble. I wish it was Trump, but it's not, so let's just stop whining about what a goon he is and figure out a way to take him aside and put him in a home."
Letterman also said Trump's
"behavior is insulting to Americans, whether you voted for him or not. I feel bad for people who did vote for him because he promised them things that they really needed and one wonders if he's really going to come through. But he's so sensitive. He doesn't understand why people aren't nicer to him in the press and you just say, well, 'Donnie, look at the tone of the campaign that you ran
