The Spanish midfielder who started playing with the Barcelona youth team in 1996 before progressing to the senior side in 2002 signed a 'contract for life' at the club's Camp Nou stadium on Friday.
The
loyal Barcelona star has said in the past: 'If I'm not playing for
Barcelona I would not be able to play against them'. It's now obvious
that will never happen as he puts pen to paper on a deal that will see
him see out his football career in Europe at Barcelona. So far, Andres Iniesta has made 418 appearances, including scoring 34 goals for the Barcelona and he has won 30 trophies with the club.
In football, Iniesta is widely considered to be one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest midfielders of all time.
