reports.
The foiled attacked occurred on Wednesday night, an official of the
Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Malam Bello Danbutta, told NAN.
He said the agency has since deployed a rescue team to the village.According to a witness, Malam Jubril Modu, a Mandirari Village local, four women walking in the village were stopped by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force.
One of the women then detonated an explosive strapped to her body, which simultaneously detonated the bombs on two other women. The fourth women successfully removed the explosives from her body and fled the scene.
“A team of CJTF members is searching for the fleeing suicide bomber,” he said.
Mr. Modu added that a member of the CJTF and three others near the site of the blast were injured. They have since been rushed to the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital to receive medical treatment.
