Adeyeye dumps PDP, accuses Fayose of imposing deputy

Prince Dayo Adeyeye has dumped the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP)
- Adeyeye came second in the PDP governorship
primaries on Tuesday, May, 8
- He said he could not work with Governor Ayodele
Fayose because of the alleged imposition of his deputy
as the party's candidate
Barely 24 hours after losing the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket in
Ekiti state, Prince Dayo Adeyeye who was the
immediate past national publicity secretary of
the PDP has resigned from the party.
Adeyeye who came second in the PDP
governorship primaries on Tuesday, May,8 after
scoring 771 votes was beaten to the ticket by the
incumbent deputy governor of the state, Prof
Kolapo Olusola.


Daily Trust reports that Adeyeye said he could
not work with Governor Ayodele Fayose, because
of the alleged imposition of his deputy as the
party's candidate in the July 14 governorship
election.
He made the disclosure while addressing his
supporters at his campaign office. Adeyeye also
said he was yet to conclude his next political
platform.


Meanwhile, had reported that the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship
candidate in the July 14 election Ekiti state,
Kolapo Olusola, expressed readiness to take up
the challenge in ensuring his victory.
Olusola, who is also the deputy governor of the
state, said this when he received the party
Certificate of return at PDP national secretariat
in Abuja on Wednesday, May 9.
