Lupita Nyong'o claims Harvey Weinstein also sexually assaulted her

Lupita Nyong
Lupita Nyong'o has joined the long list of women who have accused disgraced mogul movie producer, Harvey Weinstein of trying to undress in front of her in a bedroom.
According to TMZ:
Nyong'o says she met Weinstein in 2011 at an awards ceremony in Berlin while she was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. Lupita claims several months later, she was invited by Weinstein to join him at his family home in Connecticut for a screening of a film.
Nyong'o says she arrived at Weinstein's home, met his wife and children and Harvey set her up to watch the film in his private screening room. According to Lupita, Weinstein interrupted the film just 15 minutes in and invited her to his private bedroom.
Once in the bedroom, Lupita says Harvey asked if he could give her a massage. The actress says she panicked and offered to give the producer one instead, he obliged, removed his shirt and laid down on the bed.
Nyong'o claims she fled the producer's home when he tried to remove his pants.
The actress says she turned down another advance by Weinstein not long after the massage incident and he threatened her career. It was after she won an Oscar in 2014 that Weinstein approached her once again, begging her to star in one of his films ... an offer she declined.

I wonder how workers feed their families, pay rents and school fees for their children' President Buhari speaks on unpaid salaries

"I wonder how workers feed their families, pay rents and school fees for their children
President Buhari has expressed concern on the growing complaints and agitations by workers in states over unpaid salaries and allowances, in spite of interventions by the Federal Government.

Receiving a group of governors led by the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Abdul’Aziz Abubakar Yari, at the State House in Abuja today, President Buhari said the plight of workers in the states need urgent attention as many could barely survive.
“How can anyone go to bed and sleep soundly when workers have not been paid their salaries for months. I actually wonder how the workers feed their families, pay their rents and even pay school fees for their children,’’ he said.
The President told the governors that two out of the three-pronged focus of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure the country and fight corruption had received some commendable reviews by the people, noting that the challenge in payment of salaries in states had taken a toll on the people.
“God has been merciful in hearing the prayers of his servants so the rainy season has been good, you can ask the Kebbi State governor on this, and our enormous food importation bill has gone down.’’
President Buhari said the Federal Government and state executives would need to work closer together to ameliorate the situation of workers across the country. He said he had instructed all government agencies to comply with the Treasury Single Account (TSA) in order to ensure more transparency and prudence in accounting for the revenues of the government and the sharing of entitlements with states.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum said the various interventions by the Federal Government, which include the bailouts, were judiciously utilized by the states, stressing that the governors inherited backlog of unpaid salaries and huge debts portfolios on assumption of office.
“We are concerned with the situation in our states, and we are trying our best to manage the resources,’’ he said
Yari noted that the bailout funds, and part of the fallout from the London-Paris Club that had been received by the states, were properly expended to alleviate the plight of workers, but more had to be done. The NGF chairman commended the efforts of the President in improving the economy, assuring that the states would continue working with the Federal Government to improve the livelihood of workers and all Nigerians.
Governors of Ondo, Bauchi, Jigawa, Kwara, Akwa Ibom and the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State were part of the visit to the President.

Blac Chyna sues the whole Kardashian family ending her reality show with Rob Kardashian

Blac Chyna sues the whole Kardashian family ending her reality show with Rob Kardashian
I ain't saying she's a gold digger, but she's ...lol. Read the full story below...
Blac Chyna is now suing the entire Kardashian family saying they were responsible for putting the kibosh on her reality show with Rob, costing her a fortune -- but E! sources are saying that's BS, and there are emails that prove it.
Chyna claims the Kardashians interfered with the shooting of "Rob & Chyna" to the point E! network pulled the plug, claiming production was impossible. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Chyna says the network, the production company and the stars of the show -- herself and Rob -- were all on board to shoot a 2nd season.
According to the suit, the Kardashians used their "power and influence over the E! network to kill the second season." However, our network sources say the couple split at the beginning of the show's first season, so a second was doubtful from the beginning.
However, sources connected to the network tell us they have documentation showing the reason the show was not picked up is because Chyna was making it impossible -- she refused to be in the same room as Rob ... so there would be no plausible way to shoot another season.
We're also told E! was unhappy with anemic ratings.
Chyna is also suing the family for battery over her claims Rob brutalized during an April domestic violence incident. In the suit, she says Rob grabbed her phone, knocked her to the ground ... and she ended up calling their son King's nanny for help. She claims Rob flipped out and tore her bedroom door off at the hinges.

APC Stop Borrowing In the Interest Of Nigeria - PDP

APC Stop Borrowing In the Interest Of Nigeria - PDP
Read the press statement from PDP below...
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wishes to draw the attention of all Nigerians to the warning by the World Bank on the danger inherent in the continued unbridled borrowing by the President Muhammadu Buhari led Government under the guise of funding National expenditures instead of looking inwards and developing the Nation’s resources for a sustainable revenue flow.
2. As a Political Party that was in power for 16 years; that worked assiduously to take the Nation out of debt, we are appalled at the rate the Government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been stacking debt for the future generations without any corresponding infrastructural development in the Country to justify the Huge Borrowing .
3. We wish to remind Nigerians that as a Party with foresight, we raised the alarm against the plan by President Muhammadu Buhari led Government to borrow another $5.5 billion for another bogus infrastructural developmental projects, but the Government considered our patriotic complaints as mere politicking.
4. Not minding the Genuineness of our advice to the Government, the Minister for Finance, Kemi Adeosun speaking for President Buhari's Administration, insisted that the Government must, and will continue to borrow before it could fund projects listed in the budget.
5. However, our altruistic position on the evil of unbridled borrowing by the Government has been confirmed by the World Bank which has issued a caveat to the Government of the APC, not to borrow and plunge the Future of this Country into uncertainty.
6. Issuing the warning through its Senior Economist, Mrs Gloria Joseph-Raji on Monday in Abuja, the World Bank stated clearly that the Cost of borrowing or paying interest on Nigeria’s debt was not sustainable as revenues to make such payment had dried up.
7. The World Bank stated unequivocally that the Country’s Debt to revenue ratio which stood at 35 per cent in 2015 has grown to 60 per cent by 2016, reflecting a reduction in government revenues and rising debt profile; thereby raising a question about the debt sustainability.
8. What more can we say? We knew the Situation was bleak under this APC Administration and we made our worries public, but the nonchalant APC Government has refused to see the danger ahead.
9. We wish to refer all Nigerians to the Debt Profile of the Nation under the President Buhari Administration which has just been released. We are sure that nobody will agree that the Government should borrow a kobo anymore in the Name of Funding the Nation’s Budget.
10. In the light of this, we wish to reiterate our call and plea on the National Assembly to consider the plight of our unborn children and reject the request for the $5.5 billion loan by the administration. We owe our unborn children the duty not to cripple them before they are born.
11. We know that rather than heed our patriotic warning, the APC will as usual, resort to the only thing they know how to do best - the Blame Game. In the absence of any coherent, logical, positive and purposeful policies, Programs and agenda, that is not entirely surprising.

South African prison warder commits suicide after photos showing her hugging and kissing an inmate went viral (photos)
A prison warder whose photos showing her hugging and kissing an inmate committed suicide on Monday, after the images went viral on social media.

Four pictures showing the unidentified female prison warder from the Losperfontein Correctional Service Centre near Brits in North West posing in uniform with a male prisoner were shared by Facebook and Twitter users yesterday.

This was brought to the department's attention which later confirmed in a statement that the prison warder had committed suicide.

The department said it had launched an internal investigation into the matter. The regional commissioner for North West, Mandla Mkhabela, said they had learnt with shock that the warder committed suicide as they were investigating the images.

Mkhabela said the behaviour of engaging with inmates in that manner was not allowed.
"This is disturbing and strictly prohibited. The department condemns this in the strongest possible terms," he said.

In one of the images, the two are seen kissing in a picture that seems to have been taken by the male inmate. The pictures were seemingly taken by cellphone, but it's unclear where they were taken.
According to The Sowetan, the warder was found hanging at her place of residence in the staff quarters at the prison.

The SA Depression And Anxiety Group operations director Cassey Chambers said:
"With social media anything goes viral so quickly and you find people who have no relation to the matter making comments and sharing it. That puts on added pressure and cyberbullying. as it could be a last straw. Maybe she thinks there would be an impact on family."
Refer to the statement issued by the Department of Correctional Services, below:

IMAGES OF CORRECTIONAL OFFICIAL AND INMATE CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has been made aware of images involving an official and inmate, from Losperfontein Correctional Centre, in an intimate position circulating on social media.

As this is disturbing and strictly prohibited, the Department condemns this type of behaviour in the strongest possible terms.

Whilst DCS was busy investigating this matter, we have since learnt with shock that the official allegedly appearing on the images has committed suicide.

DCS Regional Commissioner for Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West, Mr. Mandla Mkabela, has expressed grief and sadness at the incident.  ”On behalf of DCS, we want to convey our condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased official. We have dispatched a team of senior managers and our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) specialists to provide necessary support”.
