President Buhari off to Turkey for D-8 summit tomorrow

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart for Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday to participate in the ninth Summit of the Developing 8 (D-8) on Friday, October 20, 2017.

Prior to the D-8 Summit, President Buhari, at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, will participate in an official working visit to Ankara, the capital city.

In Ankara, the President will have a tete-a-tete with his Turkish counterpart while delegations from both countries will hold discussions in various fields including defence cooperation, security, educational and migration issues.

The Nigerian leader will also visit the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey in Ankara where he will meet with the Speaker, Ismail Kahraman. While in Istanbul, the Turkish commercial centre, President Buhari will use the occasion of the D-8 Summit to bolster warm and growing ties across a broad range of areas of cooperation with leaders of the D8-member countries, namely Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey.

The Summit with the theme, ‘‘Expanding Opportunities through Cooperation’’, will among other things, focus on cooperation in the areas of agriculture, trade, transport, energy and increased private sector participation among member-countries.

During the ninth Summit of the D-8, which will also mark the 20th anniversary of the organisation established to improve the developing countries’ positions in the world economy, the President will highlight the significant show of confidence in Nigeria’s business environment and economy.

He will also affirm Nigeria’s resolve to work with D-8 member-countries on many key areas, including peace and security, economy and trade.

At the end of the Summit, the Heads of State and Government will adopt a Communiqué, also known as the 'Istanbul Declaration'. The President will be accompanied on the trip by ministers, top government officials, including the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Hameed Ali.

She revealed that she has communicated with the lady and has instructed the Kwara state commissioner of police in the state through the PPRO to look into the matter. She wrote; 

Yesterday 16th of October I received various tags about the complaint of a young lady who was allegedly rough handled by some policemen. I reached out to her, she recounted her ordeals. I did a follow up to Kwara state where the alleged incident occurred. The commissioner of police in the state through the PPRO are looking into the matter, members of the public including the complainant should be rest assured that justice will prevail. Thanks to you all for your cooperation and trust. 

Popular Russian model accidentally kills herself while showing off topless on social media

A popular Russian model died in an accident while showing off topless and hanging out of the window of a speeding car.

Natalia Borodina, 35, from Moscow, was killed in the Dominican Republic after smashing her head on a pole while hanging out of a moving vehicle. In the video taken seconds before her death, the mother-of-one is seen naked from her waist up. She had nothing on except bikini bottoms. 

As the car sped along the road, she put her head and entire upper body out of the car window then struck different sexy poses while someone in the car filmed on a mobile phone. As they plied the highway near Punta Cana, Natalia's head hit a lamp post and her body was thrown sideways. The driver, believed to be her friend Ivanna Boirachuk, 32, was heard screaming as the video ended.

Russian media reported that she was rushed to hospital but later died from "serious injuries". She is survived by her eight-year-old son. It is believed her son was holidaying with her in the Dominican Republic. Her family has been notified of her death.

The Real Madrid and Portuguese star shared the photo with his beau at the Tatel Resturant, where Ronaldo describes as 'the best restaurant in town'.

Amazing transformation! Kenyan woman rescues her childhood friend who almost ran mad due to drug addiction (photos)

A Kenyan lady Wanja Mwaura has been praised for her kindness after she rescued a former classmate and childhood friend, who became a drug addict.

She bumped into Hungary on the streets and she couldn't help but shed tears at what had become of him. He was so affected by drug abuse that he wasn't aware of his physical appearance.

Instead of walking away like many others, Wanja fed and helped get him admitted at chiromo lane Medical Center.

She visited him over the weekend and this is what she posted on Facebook.

"Compare the photos from where we started n where we are now,I however need your support to continue paying for the facility.He deserves another chance"
