So wicked Father kills his six-year-old daughter and 18-month-old son & kill hisself

A father is believed to have murdered his young son and daughter then hanged himself on Father's Day during a bitter custody battle with his estranged wife.

The bodies of Alvaro Camara and his kids were found on the Monday after Father's Day by policemen who arrived their home in response to a welfare check.

Police first checked in on Father's Day evening but the house was dark and no one answered so they assumed he was still out with his kids. But they arrived on Monday morning accompanied by worried relatives and the police climbed through a window to find Camara hanged in a bedroom and his children dead nearby. Police aren't saying how the children died at the moment but they believe it is a case of murder-suicide.

Camara was married, but he had been separated from his wife for 6 months and they were involved in a custody dispute. His two children, a 6-year-old daughter and an 18-month-old son, spent Father’s Day with him at home in Santa Rosa, California. He was supposed to drop them off at their mother’s house on Sunday night by 7 p.m., but he never did. Camara's estranged wife came to the house for her kids on Sunday evening but when no one answered her knock, she called the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department. When deputies arrived to see the place was dark, they left thinking he was extending his Father's Day outing with them,  Neighbours said that Camara had only lived there for a few months, but the arguments between him and his estranged wife were intense on several occasions.

The grieving mother of the two deceased children released a statement on Tuesday. It read in part:
"I sit... swaddled in my daughter's blanket and drinking tea from a cup that reads 'I love you mom', fighting back the tears and struggling to make sense of this horrific situation. I sought help on numerous occasions and said many many many times my children were in danger in their father's care and I didn't receive the urgent help I needed to save them."
"I'm not quite sure what was going through his mind,' said Camara's sister, Jessica Espada who arrived at the scene.
"It just caught all of us by surprise, and it's very tragic, we aren't sure why he would do such a thing?"

Am not going to loose Appeal court I’ll win it says senate president

The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, says he would win at the Appeal Court where the Federal government has filed a petition challenging his acquittal and discharge by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The tribunal had on June 14th discharged and acquitted Saraki of all charges relating to his case of false assets declaration.

The tribunal held that the evidence put forward by the prosecuting team were not enough to find him guilty.

Upon receiving the judgement, the Federal government filed an appeal against the ruling on Tuesday, June 20th.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu today, Saraki said he was confident that the appeal court verdict would not be different from that of the CCT as the facts of the case remained the same and the grounds on which the tribunal’s decision was based remain unassailable. Read the statement below

Following the decision of the Federal Government to file an appeal against the ruling of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), which upheld the plea of no case submission he made on the 18-count charge of false asset declaration preferred against him, Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, wishes to reiterate his earlier position that he remains unperturbed by the development.

Dr. Saraki is confident that the verdict at the appellate court would not be different from that of the tribunal as the facts of the case remain the same and the grounds on which the decision of the CCT was based remain unassailable.

Anybody who has been following the proceedings and the evidence given by the prosecution witnesses during examination in chief and cross examination should know that if presented before any court of Justice and law, the same outcome as in the CCT would be arrived at. Those who are running commentary on the ruling by the Tribunal and criticizing it are those who are not even familiar with the case and the details coming out of the trial.

That is why Dr. Saraki continues to wonder how desperate some people in government and their collaborators outside have become to pull him down at all cost and by all means up to the point that they do not care if they destroy the institution of the judiciary in the process. That is why they sponsored stories of allegation of bribery in an online publication against the Tribunal judges. The Senate President seizes this opportunity to call on security agencies to immediately commence investigation on this bribery allegation. It is his views that those who made the allegation should be invited to substantiate their claims.

This same desperation made a man like Prof. Itse Sagay, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Anti-Corruption (PACAC) to appear on tape admitting in a foreign country that he interfered with the process in the Tribunal when in an unethical manner he was instructing the judge on how to conduct the trial. Corruption is not just about giving or diverting money. When an official interferes with the judicial process with a view to achieve personal objectives, that is corruption.

The Senate President notes that another sign of desperation by those who want to get him convicted at all cost was the failed antics of the prosecution counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs, who in collusion with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sought to manipulate evidence at the tribunal. On realising the fundamental flaw in its case as it did not invite the defendant to make any statement at any point in the investigation, the prosecution brought in an agent of the EFCC to tender old statements Saraki made in a totally different and unrelated matter that had nothing to do with false asset declaration. The prosecution forgot that the letter inviting Saraki to make the tendered statements explicitly mentioned the matter being investigated. At least, there are documents to prove this. The prosecution tried to circumvent the judicial process by ensuring that the witness did not enter into the witness box so as not to be on oath. However, the tribunal, as it is obvious in its ruling, saw through the dirty trick. It therefore disregarded that piece of evidence and described it as irrelevant and of no value to the case.

If not desperation by the prosecution, why is the EFCC so involved in a case of false asset declaration which is an exclusive preserve of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB)? All the evidence presented during the trial were from the EFCC. The Commission rendered the CCB a second fiddle player. That is why the only CCB witness presented by the prosecution gave what the tribunal referred to as ‘hearsay evidence’. The CCB chief prosecutor testified that he got his instruction to investigate the case orally. He made his report from the investigation orally. Even the directive to ‘collaborate with EFCC’ on the investigation was given orally, a development the tribunal found strange and unknown to law.

All these antics aimed at perverting the course of justice were obvious throughout the period of the tribunal’s sitting. Though, one is conscious of the fact that the anti-graft agency and its allied bodies are frantically looking for a poster-case to sell its anti-corruption campaign and there is the hunger for conviction in a celebrated case to advertise in the international arena government’s determination to pursue the anti-graft campaign, we implore them to achieve this aim by allowing Justice to take its normal course.

This Appeal against the CCT ruling is nothing but another attempt to grandstand and embark on another media trial without any substance. This is why the Senate President is sure it will be another exercise in futility.

Dr. Saraki has demonstrated his unflinching belief in and respect for the judicial process and its ability to resolve issues relating to fundamental rights of Nigerians. That belief in the judiciary is the basis for his assurance that the position of the CCT that he is not guilty of the charges preferred against him would be sustained in the higher courts

Mark Zuckerberg explains why he can not I changed Facebook's mission

Since inception, Facebook's mission statement has been, ' give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected'.
Now the Mark Zuckerberg led company has just changed it's mission statement to read, 'to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together'.
Speaking in why there was need to change it, Zuckerberg said:
'We used to have a sense that if we could just do those things, then that would make a lot of the things in the world better by themselves, But now we realize that we need to do more too. It's important to give people a voice, to get a diversity of opinions out there, but on top of that, you also need to do this work of building common ground so that way we can all move forward together'.

600 high-rise buildings in England may be in danger of fire - British Government

In response to the fire at Grenfell Tower, the 24-story apartment block that was gutted by a huge fire in west London last week, the British government is carrying out tests on 600 high-rise buildings across England which are covered in cladding.
As at today, combustible cladding has been found on at least three tower blocks in the UK, according to the Department for Communities and Local Government.
British Prime Minister Theresa May also said that at least 100 buildings a day are being tested, with residents being informed of the findings.
Previously, Downing Street had said that there were approximately 600 high-rise buildings with "similar cladding" to that used at Grenfell Tower.
But hours later, the Department for Communities and Local Government clarified that the 600 figure was in reference to high-rise buildings covered in any type of cladding, rather than "similar" cladding to that at Grenfell.
The statement reads:
"The situation is that 600 buildings have cladding -- it is not similar to Grenfell Tower, it is all types of cladding," a spokesman for the DCLG said. "Of these 600, we want landlords to check if they have ACM (aluminum composite material) cladding. Of those 600, some of those would have ACM; we want to test them to see if they have ACM."
At least 79 people are dead or missing and presumed dead following the fire that tore through the 24-story high-rise, home to 125 families, in the early hours of June 14, 2017

Olayode 'Toyo baby' Juliana finally opens up about her departure from Jenifa Diaries

In April 2017, LIB exclusively confirmed that Olayode Juliana, popularly known as 'Toyo Baby' in Funke Akindele-Bello's popular Television comic series, Jenifa's Diaries, has been cut from production. This was initially denied by Juliana during her reaction to our post on social media, but she has now come clean about their misunderstanding.
In a post on her website minutes ago, she opene up about their relationship, claiming that she was Funke's unofficial; Personal Assistant, Makeup artist, Caterer, Costumier, Driver, Cleaner, Washer woman, Masseur, Prayer partner and Script adviser. Read what she wrote after the cut...
The relationship between Jenifa and Toyo Baby UNCENSORED!
It hurts when people spread lies about you and you cannot do anything to defend yourself. But thank God for a platform like this. I would be saying a lot of things; it would be a long read but I promise you would enjoy reading. I would be stating in clear terms the relationship I had with Aunty Funke. I used ‘had’ and would be talking in past tense because like you know, I am presently not on the Jenifa’s Diary series. And guess what? The news just broke lately, but I have been off the series since May,2016 (last year); it’s been over a year already.
My post would be in two parts; who Aunty Funke was to me (Juliana), and then, who I was to her. These are things only few people know but I am ready to let the world know.
Yes! I will start with her. Why? She’s an amazing person and I can’t wait for you to know how lovely she is on a one-on-one basis. We all have our flaws but we choose rather to celebrate our strengths. Here goes!
Aunty Funke to Juliana!
COACH
Aunty Funke met me for the first time at the auditions of Jenifa’s Diary (she did not know me prior to that day). She saw my talent and believed in me. I worked with her for years; she trained me and helped me in becoming a better actress. She would not take anything short of excellence from her cast. I honestly have not seen anyone in Nollywood more hard working than Aunty Funke. And she made it a duty to correct me and coach me on being better.
BENEFACTOR
Aunty Funke helped pay my mum’s hospital bill for a fibroid surgery, two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000), because I had no money at that time. She also gave to the ministry dear to my heart, MINE Teenage Ministry when we were preparing for an event, one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) and my pastor called to appreciate her. So apart from my pay as an actress on the series (which I won’t mention), that’s all I received from her money-wise, asides from change she gave me for transport when leaving set because as at then, I used to jump bus, ‘keke’ and bike to and fro set up until I left the series…lol. But in all, God used her to meet that major need in my life at that time.
BIG SISTER AND ADVISER
I fondly remember the times Aunty Funke would call me to her room while I was staying in her house (during set), and talk to me. She would take her time to advise me and encourage me as regards life in general. One particular day I treasure was the day she came to the room I stayed and told me, in a mother’s tone that I was beautiful and she warned me sternly never to bleach. I smile whenever I remember that. God bless her kind heart!p
CHEERLEADER AND ENCOURAGER
Aunty Funke never ceased to celebrate me. Knowing how excellent she is at what she does (acting), I was shocked, elated and excited all at once the day she told me I was a good actress. She told me I would be great and celebrated. She saw years ago what is happening today. I am thankful for her words.
.
Juliana to Aunty Funke!
UNOFFICIAL PA
I was privileged to be the one holding Aunty Funke’s bag while on set. I ‘kept’ the money we spent on day-to-day running and was required to balance account afterwards. I don’t like Mathematics, so that was a lot of work…lol. Money was never unaccounted for in my keep. I ran errands for Aunty Funke and made sure all that was needed was supplied.
UNOFFICIAL ASSISTANT MAKE-UP ARTIST
On set, on some occasions, when I was not acting, I was fanning and dabbing the faces of other actresses (including extras). So, this is for those that have accused me of being proud. Please ask those I fanned and dabbed while preparing to go on set later. On some occasions, I also did my own makeup and that of some other cast. All I wanted to do was SERVE; I wanted every set to be a success.
UNOFFICIAL ASSISTANT CATERER
On set, there were different occasions I served cast and crew (plus extras) food and water. At some points, I joined in washing plates when the plates were not enough to go round. And times I was not acting, and I saw the ‘Mamas’ needed help, I joined them in washing plates. They are alive to bear witness.
UNOFFICIAL ASSISTANT COSTUMIER
I hardly forget things I memorised, so I knew the continuity of major characters on the set. Aunty Funke used to ask Costumiers to confirm costumes with me. On some occasions.I had to go to set earlier than others and leave later than others to sort out costumes, including wigs and other accessories. I looked forward to doing it and never once complained
UNOFFICIAL ASSISTANT DRIVER
I could not drive while on Jenifa’s Diary set, and I still cannot…lol but I woke up early on different occasions to wash Aunty Funke’s car. The times I didn’t wash, I dusted the car. She is a neat person, so I made sure the inside of the car and the boot were tidy and clean. For me, it was pleasure serving Aunty Funke.
UNOFFICIAL CLEANER
I lived with Aunty Funke while set was on, so I counted it my duty to clean the house. She lived in a duplex at Chevron at that time, so I cleaned the entire house. Sweeping and moping from room to room. Scrubbing bathroom after bathroom. I arranged wardrobe after wardrobe, laid one bed after another. You would not know any of these if I am not saying this. I did all this with joy. She was special to me and you serve those you love.
UNOFFICIAL WASHER WOMAN
Aunty Funke is neat and very tidy and she does professional drycleaning. But there were times she needed a dress washed urgently and I helped her wash. Please don’t accuse me of being proud or rude to Aunty Funke again. I SERVED her WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
UNOFFICIAL COOK
Some of my fond memories with Aunty Funke are the times I cooked for Aunty Funke. I enjoyed cooking for her. I followed someone who lived with her then (name withheld) to market on different occasions to buy things we used to cook. Please note, I had a home of my own. I stayed with Aunty Funke only when we were shooting except times she specifically asked me to come over.
UNOFFICIAL MASSUER
I learnt how to massage with Aunty Funke; I learnt on the job…lol. I knew she was usually tired when we got back so it was my pleasure to relieve her; she sometimes slept off while I massaged her. There was a day we were on location and we did not take the oil. Someone offered oil but as I held it, my spirit was not at peace. So, I bowed my head and prayed over the oil. I did not know Aunty Funke was watching me. When I opened my eyes, she asked what I did and I told her. Her response was “O se oko mi”, translated, “thank you my dear”.
PRAYER PARTNER
There were different times Aunty Funke called me to pray on location, and sometimes at home. There was a time I gave her a Word of Knowledge. I had a dream once, I told her, and it happened the next day. I fasted and prayed with Aunty Funke and her sister. She called me to pray with her at midnight at some points. She knew from the onset that I was a Christian and that I was committed to prayer. There were different times we both prayed and asked God to give us sponsors. So, for those that have accused me of being “holier-than-thou”, that is the real me o! Everybody on every set I have gone, including Jenifa’s Diary, know I am unapologetically sold out to Jesus. I am not ‘deceiving’ anybody. That is my ‘real face’…lol
SCRIPT ADVISER
I had the pleasure of sitting and gisting with Aunty Funke at different points, whether at home or in the car. We would talk about the script. She sometimes had inspirations in the car and she would ask me to write it down so she doesn’t forget, and she would ask my opinion. I treasure those moments. Interestingly, there was a day we were talking at the house and her husband was there. I talked about loving High School movies and Musicals. I said I wondered why we didn’t have such in Nigeria. Then, we all started talking. JJC Skills even ‘drafted’ me into it already but we were just talking lightly. It is my joy that “INDUSTREET” is a reality today!
Let me stop here! So, with these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince you and not confuse you that you shouldn’t believe everything you read until you hear from the source.
Your question now is, what happened? Hmmm! We had a misunderstanding and I cannot disclose what happened without Aunty Funke’s permission. But if you read all I said in the post, you would gather that we were quite close. And when two people get that close, misunderstandings are bound to occur.
All I have said, you can confirm. 100% truth and UNCENSORED!!!
So, it is God, who saw my faithfulness and commitment, Who is rewarding me and announcing me to the world. Dear aspiring celeb, please SERVE and not seek to be served.
Please do well to share this post on your social media platforms via the buttons beneath this post so we can spread the TRUTH of what went down. My name has been tarnished by liars and bloggers seeking traffic. God have mercy on them!
Whew!!! This was long! Thank you for reading and allowing me pour out my mind in love. I am just a human being who does not want to be maligned falsely!
God bless you

Osinbajo Condemns Taraba State Killings, Deploys Security Personnel To Affected Communities

Responding to reports of ethnic violence in several communities in Taraba State, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo condemned the killings on Wednesday, vowing to prosecute the perpetrators.
Taraba State, Nigeria In a press statement released on Thursday, the acting president’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, said Mr. Osinbajo visited the affected communities on Wednesday and held an emergency meeting with security officials and Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
He ordered the deployment of security personnel, including police officers, military soldiers, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officers, to the Taraba State communities to maintain peace and arrest perpetrators of violence.

Fulani elders in Taraba State had on Wednesday condemned the recent spate of violence targeted at their tribe, saying it amounted to ethnic cleansing.

Petroleum MarketersTo Begin Nationwide Strike, Mass Retrenchment On July 1

Members of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association (DAPPMA) have declared their intention shut down their facilities and lay off staff from 1 July. The association reached the decision at a meeting over the weekend.
DAPPMA said its members have been groaning under massive debts totaling $2billion accruing from fuel subsidy payments and the accompanying foreign exchange and interest rate differentials being owed them by the Nigerian government, Saharareporters could not confirm the authenticity of the figures due to widespread corruption in the petroleum marketing regime in Nigeria.
These, said DAPPMA, has put its members under unbearable pressure from financial institutions in the shape of threats of liquidation of their businesses and assets on account of mounting interest payments and effects of devaluation arising from the protracted non-payment of subsidy claims.
The situation, DAPPMA added, has manifested in members ' inability to meet operating expenses due to the devaluation of the naira from N197 to N285 and later to over N305 to $1 between 2014 and 2015 as well as that accrued during the subsidy regime.
It has equally yoked members of the association with a baggage arising from banks’ unwillingness to provide fresh credit because they have overshot prescribed sectoral limits. Banks, explained the association, have also refused to refinance
existing loans.
In addition, DAPPMA complained of the stifling dominance of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of the product importation and distribution processes, which they said are to the advantage of a few inclined towards sharp practices and who regularly connive with NNPC officials.
DAPPMA similarly complained that its members have been rendered incapable of using the assets in which they have invested huge resources, including tank farms, as a result of their poor cash flow made worse by banks' reluctance to fund transactions because of their already huge existing obligations.
"Despite several meetings and promises, including an earlier one with the Chief of Staff to the President, which was followed by the audience granted by the acting President to downstream operators on the 23 and 24 May, after which the acting President directed the Minister of Finance to settle all verified claims within two weeks, the operators have not been able to get what is due to them as they believe that the government is beginning to take them for granted," the association told SaharaReporters.
It explained that this arose from the fact that the market has witnessed a relatively even supply of petroleum products in recent times.

DAPPMA, however, stated that its members and other independent marketers have been crucial in ensuring adequate product supply to the North from the Niger Delta despite the congestion in the Apapa Axis, Lagos, which has hampered product supply. This, the association claimed, is because its members and others have considerable storage capacities.

Another complaint made by the association is related to foreign exchange allocations by the NNPC, which it described as lopsided and injurious to its members' well-being. This, DAPPMA explained, has rendered over 198 tank farms and depots redundant. DAPPMA added that NNPC's intervention has ignored market realities and remains opaque.
"We are actually tired of the antics of NNPC, which has resorted to sharp practices in all aspects of petroleum product supplies and yet, incurring a huge subsidy bill with taxpayers monies," said DAPPMA.
